Sleeping Beauty

Sunday, I noticed that Brooklyn's left eye was red.  I just assumed it was allergies and didn't worry about it.  By Monday morning it looked pretty yucky so I decided to keep her home and make her an appointment at the doctor.  I usually have "pink eye" medicine on hand since that is a common thing among the kiddos (and occasionally the mommy may pick it up too... like I did last year).  Anyway, the medicine that I had was expired = (

Monday afternoon we went to the doctor and she did so good for me.  She usually throws a fit when she knows that she has to go to the doctor.  While we were there I decided to go ahead and get her a vaccination that I didn't give to her when she was a baby.  I didn't want her to have it because I had a terrible reaction to it when I was a baby, so I wanted to wait until she was older.  I felt really bad, but I know that this was for the best.  She cried for about 30 seconds and then the nurse gave her some princess stickers and that made her stop crying.  After some ice cream on the way home and a lot of "TLC" she was better....but tired.

Within 30 mins. of us being home, she was passed out on the couch.

I kept her home Tuesday as well.  Doc thought she needed to stay home and rest.  This is what I found when I got home from work....

First Night of Dance Class

Over the Summer I enrolled Brooklyn in a dance class.  It is a tap and jazz class for her age group and it is on Thursday nights.  The class follows the same schedule as school, which will be nice.  I took her a few weeks ago to get her tap and ballet shoes and that was an entertaining shopping trip.  Watching her try on tap shoes for the first time was hilarious!

So Thursday night we went to her first class, and it was love at first sight for this little girl.  When we first got there the older girls were having there dance class and she was glued to the window watching them.  Her class starts at 6 and the first 30 mins. they will work with their tap shoes and the last half of the class they work with their ballet shoes.
First meeting with her teachers.  My pictures aren't great, it was very chaotic that night and most of my pictures were taken through a 2 way glass without a flash.
She has about 15 little 3 year olds in her class and there is even another Brooklyn in her class.  Colby's cousin Maggie is in her dance class too.

Labor Day 2011

Last Monday my sister, Jaxen, B, and I spent most of the day at my parents.  When the little man arrived he was sleeping.

Perfect Weather for Golf

Last Sunday evening Jason, my parents, and I took little miss B to play miniature golf at Fast Lanes.  She has played here before with her daddy and thought that you could swim in the water.  So, when I told her where we were going on Sunday she brought me her bag with a swim suit and sun block ready to go play golf and swim.  So.....after a major meltdown she finally calmed down after we tried to explain that you can't swim in the water at the golf course (and that there were possibly snakes and alligators in it, yes I know that sounds mean but if your child has the same temper that mine has you would do the same).

We didn't keep score....because Brooklyn was the "boss" of the game and made up the rules as she went....

The dark spot under her golf club was a poor little grass hopper that she decided she needed to smash several times
with her golf club....poor little grass hopper.

A competitive little girl...just like her daddy.

Friday Night Baseball

Last Friday I got 4 tickets from work to the Naturals game.  Since Brooklyn didn't need a ticket we asked the Pinaltos to join us.  Casey couldn't make it, but Justin and Colby got to come.
These kiddos look so big in these pictures.....they are growing up too fast!

I took them to play on the playground that is on the opposite side of the seats.  I figured I would let the daddies have some time to enjoy the game and I would let the kiddos burn some energy.

Since it was getting dark, I bribed them with cotton candy (not something I would normally do at 8:30 at night) to come back to the seats and as you can see they gladfully accepted the bribe.

I Heart Pinterest!

This website is addicting!  I have found so many great ideas on this website too.  You don't even have to be a crafty person to enjoy this website, you can find anything from fashion to recipes AND it has an app which makes it really addicting!

The bottle to the left is one of the ideas from this awesome website.  I took a wine bottle and spray painted it with a primer and then spray painted it with chrome paint (the only fun color that we had at the time).  I thought it turned out pretty cool.

Princess...

A Morning Ritual

This last Tuesday (Our anniversary) I was suppose to go to jury duty, but I found out that the case was settled out of court and I didn't have to go (YAY!!!!) so, I still took the day off.  Woke up to get the kiddo ready for daycare.  Ever morning Brooklyn has to lay all of her baby dolls down in the living room for their nap.  All of the babies have a specific blanket too.  So, basically daddy HAS to help or else they don't leave on time.  And while this was going on I had to grab the camera ; )

She is bossing her daddy in the picture above.

Later on in the day the babies have awakened from their all day nap and it is now time for Brooklyn to read to them.
Priceless......
