Last Saturday (June 16th) my nephew Jaxen turned 1.  My sister had a family party at Mad Pizza in Rogers.
He needed a snack while waiting for the guests to arrive.

 He thoroughly enjoyed his cupcake!

Swimming with Colby

Saturday night Colby got to come over and swim. They came over to plan/book our flight for our vacation in August. Brooklyn has been asking to ride on an airplane for several months now and soon she will be. Soon these 2 will be swimming on the beach and we are excited that Malyn will be joining us too! We weren't planning on taking a big vacation this year, but an amazing opputunity came along, so now we are flying to Florida.

A Weekend in Branson

Last Saturday morning we headed to Branson.  This was a company trip, which was nice!  My company is very big on staff anniversary's.  When you reach a 10 year anniversary, they give you an allowance and you can choose an activity to celebrate for the staff to attend (I am only a 1 & 1/2 years away from my 10 year day!).  Three of our staff were celebrating so they chose a weekend in Branson. We got to choose from Silver Dollar City or White Water (we chose WW), then they had the Dixie Stampede plus our hotel was included.  We had a great weekend!  Brooklyn is such a little traveler!

This little girl LOVED this place!  She rode every ride that she was tall enough too ride.

Sunday Morning on our way home, we stopped by Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, the key to my child's heart : )

Brooklyn's First Dance Recital

Friday, June 1st was Brooklyn's First Dance Recital.  She has been in the class (tap & jazz) since September and she has loved every minute of it.  I am so glad that she has enjoyed it! We have even signed her up for next year. They danced to "Peter Cotton Tail" and their costumes were little (adorable) bunnies.  For their performance they asked that we put bright blue eyeshadow, pink blush, red lipstick and mascara was optional.....I was nervous to put mascara on her but she has super long lashes (like her daddy) so it was actually easy to put it on.  However, I don't plan on putting it on her again until her next recital!
The picture to the left is before we left for the show.

 Ready for the show!

 B & Maggie

Mimi & Be-Be came to her recital too.

They had a tv with the live performance in the room which was nice.  Our girls were the 9th performance out of 38.  I am sooo thankful that we did not have to wait too long before they  performed!  Twelve happy 4/5 year olds in white costumes with red lipstick does not last long and they were starting to get cranky!

 Almost time!

I stayed backstage while she performed, so this is the last picture that I got.  Jason & my parents had video cameras, so I didn't get pictures of her performance.  I am sooooo incredibly proud of Brooklyn.  She did such a great job!
