Post Surgery Update

I had my surgery last Wednesday morning and everything went great.  I had to be there at 5:30 to prep and get my iv going, which was quite painful. Dr. G came in a few minutes before surgery to go over everything with me and then by 7:30 I went back.  It took a little less than an hour.  He looked at my uterus, ovaries, he ran die through my right fallopian tube to check for blockages and they were all fine.  He said that I do have a left fallopian tube but it doesn't work.  Right after he finished up he went to talk to my mom & Jason.  He said he was pleased with the outcome and that everything looked great.  I went to recovery for about 30 minutes and was home by 10 am!  I have 2 incisions (one just below my belly button and one just below my bikini line).  I already had scars from my previous surgery in those spots.  My stomach is really bruised too.  Thankfully recovery wasn't bad at all.  I went back to work yesterday and did just fine.  Very thankful for my mom and Hubby for taking care of me over the last few days!
I go see Dr.G next for my checkup .  Earlier this year I did fertility treatments for 6 months (I have so much empathy for any women that has to go through that because it sucks!) and I quit because after six months my uterine lining was not thick enough.  He said that my body did not respond to those meds like they should have and now that he has seen what's going on inside he knows what he wants to do next....

I received these beautiful flowers from my sweet sister-in-law Candace.  Thanks everybody for your prayers and kind words.

Elton John!!!!

My sisters husband Jeremy got 2 tickets to go see Elton John and gave them to Mindy and she asked me to go...yay!!!  I have always wanted to see him but NEVER imaged seeing him in NWA for FREE!!!  It was such a fun night, my sister and I don't ever get together (kidless) anymore so this was definitely a treat!

A Trip to the Gentry Animal Safari

To kickoff Memorial Day weekend we went to the Gentry Animal Safari on Saturday.  The weather was absolutely perfect for this we also took sandwiches and had a picnic too!

I think his favorite part of the trip was finding some pretty cool sticks....

Preschool Graduation

On Friday, April 26th 2013, our little girl graduated from Preschool.  Brooklyn has been at Bright Haven for about 2 years now and it has been an absolute blessing.  She has made some great little friends and has become very attached to her amazing teachers.  Everyday I am impressed with what she has learned, especially since being in the preschool class.  They will start kindergarten in late August and I know that this will be hard on these kiddos since they will separate and go to different schools.  Brooklyn's best friend Haivyn will go to Shaw and B will go to Smith.  But I know that they will always be close and this just means that they will have to have lots of play dates and sleep overs.

 Being silly before graduation...

 Besties = )
There was a slide show before the graduation showing pics of the kiddos throughout the year.

This was news to me, but I am sure she said this because that is what Haivyn said???

 Saying the Pledge of Allegiance.

 Singing

Mrs.Mandy made a each child a poster with a personal quality that each child improved on throughout the year.  B can be shy and quite (like her mom and dad were), so as the year went on B became more vocal in her class and by the end of the year she was VERY vocal.

 Our Graduate

This was a bitter sweet night for all of us.  Ms Mandy moved to Texas and this was her last time with the kiddos.  She was such an amazing teacher and taught the kids so much!

Things got a little crazy afterwards.....these kiddos were getting jiggy with it!

Flowers from papa

I wanted to start a tradition with B.  I love this book!  So, starting with preschool, I am going to have all of her teachers (through high school) sign this book and when she graduates I will give it to her.  Ms.Mandy got to sign the book first = )
