Valentines

Last weekend I sat down with Brooklyn and helped her work on her Valentines for her class.  I wrote all of the kids names on the cards and then I let her write her name.  She did really well.  On some of the cards though, she ran out of space so the last few letters of her name were randomly placed, but I was really proud of her.

Brooklyn's Blessing Bag

Brooklyn brought this home last week.  They made blessing bags during their bible class at school.  Inside of her blessing bag she had cut out a picture of some golf shoes for daddy.  Not really sure why she put a picture of golf shoes in it, but I thought it was really cute that she was thinking about her daddy and how well he needs to look out on the golf course.

First Trip to the Dentist

Last Tuesday was Brooklyn's first dentist appointment.  I took her to Dr.Rhoads in Rogers.  His office was amazing!  Brooklyn did really well.  She let them take x-rays of her teeth. She didn't want to lay down and let them look at her teeth so she sat up on the chair while they checked out her teeth. She has no cavities, but she has a little bit of a crooked bite.  This is something that he will want to fix with a retainer when she is about 5.  I am not surprised by this, since I got my first retainer at about 7, had braces in jr. high, and I still have a permanent retainer.  So it looks like she is going to have a mouth just like her momma.  Thankfully I have really good insurance!

By the time they took this picture, she was done!

Low on Cash?

Are you low on cash??? Well then, just take some dollar bills and tear them into smaller pieces to make more...right?? Well, this is what Brooklyn thought we she confiscated money from her piggy bank = /  She was going "shopping" with her baby dolls so she took $3 and turned it into $12.  I have to give her credit for her counting and reasoning skills, but we talked to her and told her that you cannot tear up money (Jason and I did get a good laugh out of this though) .

One of the these days when she really goes shopping she will understand how important that concept really is!

Dancing Diva

This week before dance class Brooklyn wanted to show daddy her "hokey pokey" dance that they do.  This is how they start class each week.

Enjoying the Warm January Weather

As soon as we got home Monday we went straight outside to enjoy the last few hours of the warm sunshine.  B of course went straight to the swings.....her favorite thing to do outside.
