Christmas Day

Christmas Eve night I fell asleep at 8:30 (I was super tired) which left Jason to deal with Brooklyn and she didn't fall asleep until 10:45!  I can't really blame her, I didn't hardly sleep on Christmas Eve either when I was little.  So, Santa had to stay up extra late to stop by our house.  But Santa did a great job, he ate her cookies that she made and he even left her a note. Since my wild child did not fall asleep until alsmost 11, she didn't wake up until 7:30!  I was up at 6 (since I fell asleep so early) and I coudn't hardly stand waiting for her to wake up.  I did manage to get a picture of our tree before she woke up.

Santa brought her a new stoller and baby doll and I think these were her favorites!

That afternoon we went to my parents to celebrate with them.  Brooklyn was more interested in helping Jaxen with his gifts that opening hers....

So after a long hard hard day of opening presents, Brooklyn relaxed with a nice warm bubble bath.

Christmas Eve

So last Saturday, I begun my day by going to Wal-Mart to get all of my christmas grocery shopping done.  Yes, I know that I waited until the very last minute but I have been sooo busy lately and tired, I decided to wake up early and go.  And it actually wasn't bad at 7 in the morning.  One of the items on my list was cookies for Santa of course.  So that afternoon Miss B and I made cookies and she got to do all of the decorating.  The "lovely" outfit that she is wearing is her FAVORITE dress up outfit that she wears all of the time around the house and she has even accessorized her outfit with a festive Christmas bell necklace ; )

That evening we went to the Christmas Eve service at church.  My parents came with us and we met up with Jason's grandparents.  The kiddos got to wear there jammies and they got glow sticks instead of candles for the service.  After the service we went to Brooklyn's favorite place to eat...Mad Pizza.

Brooklyn's Class Party

Last Thursday was Brooklyn's Christmas party at school and my mom and I went to watch.  First, they got to unwrap gifts from her teachers.  Their teachers made them really cute ornaments.  They took glass ball ornaments and filled them with paper or fabric and each one was different based on what that child liked.  Brooklyn's was full of pink and sparkles of course.

Filling up on lots of sugar....

Each child brought a wrapped coloring book and ornament.  They drew numbers and got to pick the present with their number.  Brooklyn got a cute and colorful christmas tree ornement.

Brooklyn's Big Girl Room

For a while I have wanted to switch Brooklyn's room with the other guest room, eventually her old  room will become the next little fields' room ; ) Her old room is right off of the kitchen which is very convenient with a baby. Her new room is a little bit bigger (the closet was also bigger which I didn't realize until we started moving her stuff...extra bonus!).  I started this process back in May, painting the furniture.  The dresser was Jason's and the night stand was one of my mom's garage sale bargains.  I decided to go with black, I am not a fan of white furniture.  Still went with the green walls, but this time it was a little bit brighter!  The walls are still a work in progress, I am not sure what I want to do yet......

Jolly Old St.Nick

Friday night we met up with the Pianaltos for dinner and then we took the kiddos to see Santa up at the mall.  Brooklyn had been asking everyday for the last week to go see Santa, so we did.  We were super lucky when we got there too because there was nobody in line.  She was super shy when she finally got to see him, so Colby helped out and sat on Santa's lap with her.

The Christmas Fairy

If you haven't noticed already, my little diva LOVES to dress up.  I bought her a Santa hat this last weekend (because I have lost the one I had) to take some Christmas pics with her.  She has now added this item to her "dress up wardrobe".

The cute little Santa that Brooklyn has was a surprise from my mom when we got home from Little Rock.  My mom picks up Brooklyn from school a few days a week and occasionally they will go shopping.  "Shopping" usually consists of going someplace like Dollar General (or the "DG" as my child calls it) because it is small and convenient to go in with a busy body 3 year old.  Everytime they went in there, Brooklyn would always go to this Santa and carry him around the store.  So, while we were out of town my mom had to go and get him for her and left him by our tree for when we got home.  She was sooo excited!

Giving Thanks - 2011

I am so incredibly thankful for my amazing family and all of our many many blessings!

This year we headed down to Little Rock to spend Thanksgiving at Jason's Aunt's House. Miss B and I showing off our razorback shirts.

This year we took same family photos , Mimi tried to get some pics with her granddaughters before the family pics began.

I managed to snap a few before I had to participate.

Fun with Aunt Be-Be!
