Prayer Request

I went to see Dr.Gorman this past Tuesday (at their new Bentonville office yay!) to discuss some issues that I have been having.  It has been almost 2 years since we started trying for a second child and it has been a VERY rough journey for me.  I know that God has a plan but there are days I struggle to stay positive.  Anyway, Dr.G thinks that I may possibly have some complications from my D & C that I had in January 2012.  So, on June 12th I am scheduled to a small surgery for him to go in and see what's going on.  I had this same surgery when I was 12 to remove what they thought was an ovarian cyst, but turned out to be a cyst that had completely taken over my left fallopian tube.  The had to remove that fallopian tube in that surgery.  Please pray that my doctor can find some answers and that they don't find anything serious.  Also, please pray that I have a fast recovery and that I can stay positive throughout this, no matter what they find.  Thanks!

Kindergarten Registration

So, on April 1st I enrolled my baby for Kindergarten. When I was pregnant with Brooklyn, her due date was April 1st (she was 16 days early).  I can't believe exactly 5 years later I am enrolling her in kindergarten.  She is going to Smith (2 blocks from the house).  This is also the school that me & my sister went to (K-6) AND this is also the school that my mom works at.  She is a teachers assistant for kindergarten (she started this job when I was in 6th grade).  So, Brooklyn will get to see her Nonnie everyday!  When I went to enroll her, my mom took her around to meet some of the teachers.  They were dying to meet her since they hear all kinds of stories about her from her Nonnie on a daily basis.  I did alright enrolling her, but come the first day of school mommy is going to be a mess!

Easter 2013

My Girl before church.

After church, we went to my parents for lunch and an easter egg hunt.  They got some easter goodies too....

This year Jaxen was old enough to hunt eggs.

Trip to KC

Back in March we took Brooklyn to Kansas City for the weekend for her birthday.  There is so much to do there and they have an American Girl Store.  We woke up Saturday morning and went too there new LEGO LAND in Downtown.  Brooklyn loves Lego's, so I thought that we would give it a shot.

We were pretty disappointed with LEGO LAND.  First, it was $58 for the 3 of us and it was TOTALLY not worth it.  Second, they let people who purchase tickets on the Internet in first.  We were the first people in line when they opened at 10, but had to wait until 10:30 until they let us in.  There were 2 lame rides (one was broken) and basically a bunch of little play areas for the kids.  It would have been a great place for a birthday party and that is about it.  The only area that we liked was where they had all of the miniatures built of Lego's...

For lunch, we went to a place across the street called Fritz's.
 Little trains deliver your food.

And that evening we went to the American Girl Store at the Oak Park Mall.  We gave her money for her birthday so she could stock up on "necessities" from the AG store.

I think she made out ok....
And of course there was time for swimming.
Dinner at Cheesecake Factory (my favorite!)
 Being Silly with Daddy....

And finally, watching some cartoons before bed.
 A great weekend in KC!
