Perfect Weather for a Safari

Saturday morning we loaded up and headed to the Wilderness Safari in Gentry. I have heard people say lots of good things about it and with the awesome weather we decided to go.

Brooklyn was showing us her monkey moves.

So this little guy wanted to hitch a ride to see the safari too.

So, Jason had the bright idea to let Brooklyn out of her carseat. That went well for the first five minutes and quickly went down hill. She had completely lost interest in the animals and was more interested in trying to drive daddy's truck.

These birds (Emu's) were EVERYWHERE. Jason liked to tease them by opening the window letting them think we were going to feed them and then shut it really quickly. Brooklyn wasn't too sure about these birds, she thought that they were trying to get her.

She was showing us what to do next on the map. Please excuse the hair, her hair bow was touching the roof of the truck when she would STAND UP in the seat so she pulled it out.

Well, she made it to the driver's seat. This didn't last long...for one she kept honking the horn and I can only imagine what the people in front of us where thinking.

Time to feed the animals!

Her bag of animal food...the first of four.

So much to do!

You would have thought that these animals had not been fed in weeks, they were so funny.

A minor setback.....Brooklyn stepped in a fresh green cow patty. She started screaming and crying, thankfully there was a water hose near by and we quickly took care of the problem.

A baby Liger....yes a Liger and you are now thinking of Napoleon Dynamite...haha

Time to pet the monkeys.

A very tired little girl.
